I'm waiting on Adam's availability before I can tie up the loose ends and propose the full line ups - anyone seen/heard from him recently? Ask him to get in touch please.
Okay - the tournament 'committee' has sat and compiled the full North and South teams to be invited to play for the first North vs. South bike polo tournament, to be held this year in Manchester.
North
5G - Chan, Emyr, Razor
Foreign Aid - French Max, John H, Hayden
Fast'n'Furious - Adam, Nik, Salman
Steeler's Wheel - Chris Landslide, Fin, Andy Senior
Brickman's Skid Kids - Ally, Clem, Donnie
I Kurious - Sylwia, TBC, Andrew (Sheffield)
The Plague - Ste, Rob, Lefty Chris
You will note we are able to accommodate 7 teams for each region - hurrah! If you didn't have a team name we've given you one - if you don't like it, then let us know and we'll change it come the day. If you are unable to play, please inform us and try to get a replacement - we have a short list of reserves from both regions that are keen to play.
Accommodation will be a struggle but we can make it work - invites and offers will be coming out to all non-Manchester residents by the weekend. Anyone not catered for, or able to call on other accommodation, please let us know.
The format of the two days remains as posted - we will advise on the points system nearer the time. The hopefully controversial seeding for the Saturday rounds is as follows:
UPDATED MARCH 19th

2. Cherrypickers SOUTH
3. Sandbaggers SOUTH

Throw-ins on Friday night until 2145 at the Powerhouse Library, Moss Side. Matches start with 4 rounds of the Bench and Sunday seeding on Saturday morning at 1015 - please try and be courtside by 1000.
Saturday's Bench I should start at 1800 for 30 minutes.
Saturday's Polo United party will be in the cellars at The Nook on Wilbraham Road, Chorlton from 2030.
Sunday Double Elimination starts at 1000 and should finish around 1630.
The Bench II Final will start at 1645 until 1715, allowing everyone to be able to get away by 1800.
The winning region will be decided by the aggregate individual team points accumulated via their overall rankings in the Double Elimination event (goal difference from the Saturday games will differentiate between tied teams), added to the region's performances in the two Bench matches.
Bench I (Saturday) is between the top 3 teams from each region (ie. 9 players on each bench), as decided the league table on Saturday.
The Bench II Final will be played between the lower three teams from each region, as per the Saturday league table.
More small print and pedantic rules to follow as we make them up...
Manchester - this is a great opportunity to host some the the best players in the UK on our home court. We hope you can all support this event in the preparations leading up, will referee or assist on the day, heckle like the devil, party hard and send the South home sorry losers...
Those of you who are willing to accommodate visiting players, can you please add your names to the list and add which days/how many spaces you have available - we will coordinate the lists. Please - if you make personal arrangements with visitors, notify me via PM or update here to save confusion.
1. Neil - Friday/Saturday - 6 people
2. Chan - Saturday - 3
3. Andy Kersfield - TBC
4. Emma - Saturday - 4 (although is bail out solution as it's on a train out to Bolton)
5.
Initial invitations for accommodation will start going out this Sunday.
I can also house the bloods friday night if they come up then. Also, Frankie's student house mates have agreed to take 1 team. They have 2 sofas and a pull out bed in a massive front room, so they'd just need sleeping bags. I'll be staying there too, so would ride with them to the court. It's in fallowfield.

I don't think we should even offer emma's house out. No one wants to pay train fare from bolton to mcr. Come on MCR, more people step up to house. Nate? Scott? Joe? Andy King? etc...

6 Rob - One team, whatever days (preferably Luca)
I'm all ears to your arguments for a higher seeding - it's worth noting we based the seeding on player/team performances/results/experience in recent tournaments. It's a shame you've not been able to translate your throw-in skills to accommodate the pressure of such competition Rob. Why not leave the sh*t talk and the alcohol alone for once and get your talented team ready for the biggest tournament Manchester has held since 2010 - the North team will surely need you to step up this time.

Sorry Salman.
Sal, I might be free this weekend now if your teams selected and you want more than one player. Can try and confirm over weekend.

"Oh dear! How did I end up on my own? I'll add more fluff so it's a little less sad. Anyone want a 3rd?"
I think Nik/Glob said he wanted to play in this tourney? If you still need a teamie that is
Salman, Glob, Scotty. There's a team.
Who's Drew playing with?
I'd assumed there would be Kirsfield, Drew, Sylvia as per planned winter series teams, so we'd put Sal in a team of super solo heroes.
I assumed that, i thought I'd seen that team on here but it was the league thing it was on.
I said somewhere near the beginning that I didn't know if I'd be around that weekend. Will know on Sunday hopefully.
But yeah if I'm available and we've been listed for it then that's cool.
And Sylwia and Drew want to play but yeah :p
sal's team good chance of playing in the elite north bench team IMO, watch this space

The leftist plague are still somehow at least 75% the best team in Manchester, that there seeding needs a little look at. ;)
