Polymorph Suicide Dual Brake Lever, v2

With a bit of filing, I was able to squeeze both cable through the hole on the cross top lever. Now the Polymorph is no longer used for leverage but it's there to just keep it tidy. Seems to work really well! Why haven't I thought of this before?

Good night, all.

Only playing will tell if it holds up to poloing.

Is there more friction than normal? Lube that shit up.

Is that a Cross Top? Sure that Scott's failed him...

It seemed like an obvious thing to do, I'm sure others have done it and no longer do it for a a very good reason which I've yet to discover.

How did Scott's fail?

mine snapped around the clamp / band, oddly not on the hinge or bolt, just snapped all the way across the band. It was used for polo and commuting for most of 2 years rear brake only though and fairly badly shimmed.

Also If you google image search 'failed crosstop' and scroll down a fair bit you'll find a picture of me!

They can be had for much cheaper from UK shops, also road calipers arnt as good with V brake levers? get / make a proper kit for the crosstop and it will be fine, dont think that plastic will last.

Ah, that's cool then.

The plastic isn't actually taking much stress, just soet of guiding the cables in place. I'll see how it goes tonight.

Ask Chris Fixed&Broken where he got his dual lever for ~£20 - each cable occupies a different arc so you can weight towards rear. Of course4 you could weight forwards if you /really/ like endos. It's pretty slick. Oh, and it has a parking brake function :-)

I picked that one up from All Terrain Cycles. Just had a look to try and find it but they don't seem to stock it any more. There were other places that had them for under £25.
