Student thing.
email wrote:

Hey,

My name is Jennifer and i am a first year Graphic Art & Design student at Leeds Metropolitan University. I first head of Hardcourt Bicycle Polo when i came to a tournament i believe you organised back in November 2012. I have since given it a go myself over in Hull a couple of times but i can't say my mallet skills are any good.

Anyway, I mail you today regarding my latest assignment for university. Myself and 4 others are required to make a publication based on an amateur club of our choice. We would love to do this on Hardcourt Polo. We aim to produce a Zine and Website that will celebrate the participants of the club. The final piece will be shown in front of the rest of the students on the course and tutors only.

We would love to come down to one of your practice sessions or match days to have a very informal chat and perhaps take some photographs. Please let me know if this is something you could help us with.

Thankyou in advance

Anyone got any strong feelings for or against this? If not I'll tell her to pop over for a chat.

sounds good, not a company trying to cash in for once

Sounds great. I love being celebrated, and can help the ladies with their website. Drews well into his 'zines' isn't he?

Is there a scene in Leeds yet? Hopefully she's been in touch with them too

I think there was a few years back but it didn't last. I'll let her know.

Well this is pretty cool ain't it?

I think we should chuck a link up on the main page, makes us seem almost appealing.

Nice one getting that organised Rob! Like the video and a nice 'zine to go with it, just a shame Tum's not in it!

If anyone's struggling to view it on a mobile device - they mentioned it might not work on a phone/tablet so go grab your laptop!

I never gave anyone permission to re-edit my video!?

Rob can you forward me the details of the film-maker for crediting please. Who does that? Using footage from a 2 year old film and not asking the filmmaker? What a fucking tool. It's not like they didn't get enough footage on the night! Fuck those guys, they just wanna pass film doc 101, they don't give a shit about MCR polo.

Didn't realise there was some of your footage in it, I'll mention it. I think the site could be good for attracting new people though, so hopefully it can be sorted amicably.

My video's been up on vimeo for years, and it's a hell of lot better than this. So good, they used half of it and palmed it off as their own. Why don't we 'chuck a link up' on the main page for mine? pfffft

just message me the contact email please

Ha, now that you mentioned it, it's all the way through, I was thinking I don't remember them coming to the pub afterwards or Mirek being there when I gave a quick look though. The video starts straight away with your stuff. I'll get on it.

Will do.^^

Cheeky innit? I would have said yes if they'd asked me and offered to credit. Chances are they would fail this course if the examiner knew it wasn't there own filming or editing in 50% of the final product.

See emails, but I think the video is just a little extra and not part of their course.
