Woot. I've just booked my train tickets for this before the cost creeps up anymore. £45 at the moment leaving Manchester at 1415 on the Thursday and coming back on the Monday at 1540. Booked it through eastcoast so I could reserve a bike place online. Now to find somewhere to stay.

London Open
im awefully tempted by penthouses.
If you're paying.
I'm planning on coming over for the open but no team as yet. What's going on up there??
Ste, Chris and I are NewD irection, there is obviously the famous 5g, as for everyone else I'm not sure, there are defo more people coming but not sure on teams.
penthouse might end up not being much mroe expensive than a hostel though.I've seen 2 bedrooms with sofabed so sleep 6 people. I bet you could get 8 people in there and with it being penthouse they generally dont care how many people stay there, even if its supposed to sleep 6.
All I can think of is the porno mag, I'm in.
Adam suggested on Sunday that he, Andy Kirsfeld and Sylwia should play under a name so awesome and funny that he did a goal 5 seconds later...
PENILE DEMENTIA
Oh yes!
Works for me...
booked same train as Rob and booked bike woo, need a place to stay, after that awesome hostel last year i would actually prefer to stay in one again, whats this penthouse idea scott?
Closest one is St Pancras which looks a bit expensive, like £200 a night for 6 person room.
yeh that does seem alot, Neil mentioned student accommodation was about £25
I have just had a look into a few hostels1.5-2 miles away it seems to be roughly £21 for weeknights £26 for weekend nights so would be looking at just under £100 pp tbh
or this is 1.2 miles from court and is £13 per night for a 6 bed and £15.50 for a 4 bed, id be happy with that kind of price
http://www.zenithhostels.com/
think this is what neil was talking about? http://www.london-hostels.co.uk/uk/pages/hostels/Newington-court.aspx
1 mile from court are the prices per person? if not £29.50 for a twin studio split is good
I didnt look too much, but people rent their houses out short term and stuff fairly cheaply as well especially if they dont mind having a few extra people sleeping on the floor / sofas. hostel like the zenith one is good as well.
alright, scott have a proper look into then and see what the deal is
will book tickets down when I get paid at the end of the month
Info from Ben re london Open Accom:
Hi everyone,
Its that time of year again! The London Open is almost upon us and we have made some nice deals with a bunch of local hostels to house you for as cheap as possible.
All you need to do is mention 'London Open 2013' when you make your booking and you should get the cheaper rate.
Here are the hostel options:
Alliance House
Single rooms in university accommodation 10 minutes ride from the court. This is in a gated development with 24 hour CCTV and security so it should be ok to lock your bikes up in the inner courtyard. There is some bike parking but not much
Price: £26.50 per night when you quote the 'London Open 2013' password
Website: http://www.city.ac.uk/visit/accommodation/alliance-house

Phone number +44 (0) 20 7288 8060

The Arsenal Tavern Hostel:
Cheap and pretty close to the courts. There is secure bike storage in some form, to be arranged but there will be a facility. They also have a bar with two pool tables that is open late.
Its is cheap and for that it you get basic dorm rooms with triple bunk beds. The internet is not too complimentary about the showers but for the money it is good value.
Price: £13 per night Thursday and Sunday, £15 per night Friday and Saturday when quoting the London Open 2013 password
Website: http://www.hostelbookers.com/hostels/england/london/58376/

YHA St Pancras

If none of this looks ok then I can recommend www.airbnb.com which is a website where people rent out apartments and rooms. I have used it in other countries and it is very good.
Looking forward to seeing you all on court in London.
Do get in touch with any questions you might have,
Polo Love,
Ben
Who wants in on Zenith or arsenal?
Whoop whoop!!
or something like this works out if we get 8 people for £20 a night. £15 for hostel.
I quite like the idea of having a safer place to leave stuff and not having to share a place with randomers.
Scott! Do we have a team btw?
The calamithree.
Shoot first, pass later.
Cross Hares
not yet. i've been busy with work so I'll get on it now on the forums. Do you have a place to stay joe?
Not yet, I'm all up for getting a place for 8 ppl though.
well doesnt need to be 8, it was just the first example I saw but looks like I failed to put the link in....
