This got sent through yesterday, I meant to mention it at polo but forgot. Sounds good to me, does someone else want to do the chatting? If not I'm more than happy to. I've sent her a reply saying we'll get back to her and she's said she's away until Tuesday so we should decide what we're doing before then.
Dear Manchester Hardcourt Bike Polo
I work in the documentaries unit of BBC Radio 4 working on a series called Lives in a Landscape. It has a pretty broad remit, but tells stories of interesting people connected through a place - I attach a link below. I am researching ideas for the next series and wondered if there was a programme to be made about bike polo.
Do let me know if you have a moment when I could pick your brains.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
Looks good, great publicity for Manchester polo! Can I join you on this? Maybe get some fammes interested? Or do you think you could do that all by yourself? :)

Don't think I've been around long enough to say much but would love to stand around as a vagrant maybe add the odd sound effect, raw ambiance. Don't forget to wear mhbp clothing.....and add we're raising money for something........weapons, helicopter, the polo dome....
I think the more varied people the better, I'd imagine there would be a chat about who we are and shit before anything is recorded but once it's confirmed as a thing they'd want a selection of us so noobs, oldz and middlez all welcome, I think the next chat would be seeing if we could do that rather than the actual thing. I'd like as many varied nobheads as possible on the actual show.
why people travel long distances for the wit, repartee…and polo !!!
Probably worth people having a listen to the programme: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006rcd7
radio programs still exist?
Yes, but the stars of said programmes were killed by video long ago.
Listened to a bit of the programme, seems quite nice, like a little biopic of everyday people and something related to them. I guess they'd probably follow one or two of us getting ready for polo then do some interviews with some others and explain the game a bit, it seems to involve a bit of personal human story stuff too, so a little bit of "bike polo saved my life" at some point too. I reckon it could be quite good, it'll definitely be more exposure for us and the sport and would be a bit different to the usual videos and that. I'll see if she's available to pop down to a session or if not sort out a meeting.
Listed to the pigeon racers In Scotland, it does sound good.
I'm going to be speaking with the woman on the phone tomorrow, if there is anything anyone reckons I should or shouldn't bring up then let me know here or at polo tonight.
payment.
will they be coming to sandbar?
Obviously the show will end with them following us to as we try to blag a lock in at big hands and I try not to puke.
