I am struggling. Magic shaft (1mm) and Magic grip (golf grip style). Anyone have a football pump adapter or similar to bring on Tuesday or Thursday?

Getting to grips with getting grips on shafts
washing up liquid, twist and pull down, easy
Track pump + Hair spray and little to no effort
How does the track pump thing work? I have always been fine with washing up liquid (Fairy is easily 10x better than any knock off/supermarket own brand).
Either broken valve or football adapter stick in the little hole and pump and push.
No need to let it dry and it's not twisted.
Does the top of the shaft need to be capped to stop the air escaping?
Yur I think so. May get away with not though
Can always stick some tape on it.
Yup, cap that mofo.
broken valve! YOU GENIUS DREW! I was wracking my brain for ages trying to think what might do the job.
I tried GT 85 to lube up the inside of the grip and the outside of the shaft, but it didn't help much. Will try washing up liquid if the valve thing doesn't work or I can't find an old inner tube valve lying around.
Couldn't find a broken valve, so I tried the washing up liquid. Worked fine with a little encouragement. But will my grip now get all sudsey when it gets wet? :P
If you used fairy your hands will stay soft.
Gt85 contains PTFE, you'll want to get rid of that once the actual lubricant has evapourated.
Once the solvents have evaporated?
So PTFE doesn't keep your hands soft too?
Not sure, it'll keep them slippy, at least for a short while.
KY jelly's always worked for me
shit of course! and its water based so it won't react with the grip compound (right?) or the shaft (too much).
I've used a water based fucking lube before, it works well but stays slidey, you then need to lube the outside and roll it up, clean the inside off then roll it back down again. A little help with a valve and pump would be easier.
Hairspray: starts slippy, dries stuck. It's basically plastic. Worked for bar grips for years.
hairspray on grips goes movey again when it rains, degreaser is best if you have it
IPA, the hoppier the better.
Hairspray is often made from prawn shells #vegansbeware
