It'd be downright rude to not grant Rob his stag's rights to a ramshackle 2 x 2 tournament... so here it is!
Rob's Double Entendre Polo Tawny - Thursday 11th October 2012
All entrants will be seeded either A, B or C - based on a harsh judgement of their experience and ability (or lack of).
Each team will comprise of 2 randomly drawn players - with Rob deciding on their team names.
Teams drawn will either be made up of an A + C or two B's - no other permutations.
I'm expecting 5 or 6 teams to be formed.
Format: 8 minute RR (unlimited goals) to produce a league table. 3 pts win/1 pt draw/0 pts loss.
Goal difference will count to split equal points.
First and second in completed league will play off in the Grand Final over 12 minutes.
NOTE: goals can ONLY be scored in your opponents half ie. no long shots/goals in your own half will be counted.
Throw-in's 6 - 6.30 as usual - matches start 6.45pm prompt.
Please note there will be random forfeits and rulings during this event - bring you most flexible and philanthropic mindset!
In!
Don't think I can make it, not really my kind of thing.
Sounds awesome! Although port is a fortified wine, not a spirit. Mega espresso for religious types.
damnn, I'm brewing my 'hate everything IPA', Only gives me 2 weeks :-(.
That ain't enough to brew a beer.
i can do it! I can add hundreds of yeasts and my own special sugar.
Just make a soda and pour some 99% isopropyl down it to the required percentage?

Do I need to change my team mate as I change from an B to a C to an B again for one game to a D with alcohol consumption?
Play with Scott and then you can also become an E.
One of the holmfirth guys work in a brewery. I'll see tomorrow if I can grab some finings
Irish moss? Gotta keep the beer veggie.
ooooooo, great! (just dont tell rob if its fish bits)
Its only a homebrew kit, but imma stick as much stuff as I can find in it. got some brew enhancer stuff, sugar, extra yeast and some other random hoppy malty falvoury stuff i'll throw in. a review said the kit came out at 7.2abv with 1kg of dextrose and 500g of spray malt.
About 95% of micro breweries use isinglass finings. The arguement is that, as it falls through the beer all the dodgy yeast and hazey stuff sticks to it and it ends up in the bottom with the sediment. You then draw off the clear beer leaving all that behind so the Stuff you drink actually contains no isinglass and like magic it's then veggie again!!! I think the one here is, like most veggies/vegans I know and have drunk with,if they don't ask what the stuff has been cleared with miraculously it's ok to order a pint of whatever real ale takes their fancy. After all most publicans wouldn't have a clue what the hell isinglass or finings were anyway.
List time:

Fish are a vegetable, right?
Co-op's own brand beers and wines detail how the drink was filtered/fined. M&S wines have Veggie/Vegan symbols on the label.
I think Co-op's own brand Ale-in-a-tin is cleared using copper finings.
