As part of a funding bid I'm prepping in conjunction with PH, I need to get a cost together for six new polo-applicable bikes... Can anyone point me in the right direction? They must be complete and come in sizes suitable down to 12 year olds.

Cheapest New Off-the-peg Polo Bikes??
Get them all Jousts! I also want a Joust! Sorry, I can't be any more helpful.
You could build stuff up reasonably from On One, not sure what the pompino bundle is on for at the moment might be worth a look
Not sure where but I heard cycle:recycle can throw em together pretty cheap?
yeh get Ben to build a fleet from old MTB frames young will and victors bikes felt good,
if not something like these would be ok?

Horizontal Dropouts \o/
Geo chart would be nice, but unlikely.
Do they still make the vitus vee-1? Might be suitable
yeh looks pretty good

still im pretty sure but could provide 6 polo ready bikes for less than the £1000 its going to cost to get anything off the peg
Never rode one but what about these. There's need the gearing sorted and a dual pull lever.Look at this on eBay:
Coyote Tra-Fix Single Speed Fixie Bike Black RRP £260

Cheapest lever I've found but wrong pull for Tra fix
Hardcourt Bike Polo Duel Pull Double Cable Brake Lever

I think we'd need smaller versions for kids.
^true that wouldn't be suitable for a sm 12yr old but like bikes kids come in all shapes and sizes. That frame is availabe in an 18" version. There are 15/16yr olds as tall as you and me that would be comfy on the 20". How comfortable would you be on a bike sized for a sm 12 year old. My thought was, you'd be needing a range of sizes and that's a cheap bike for the bigger kids wit relatively tight looking geo.
Custom Oak frames all round.
Not Marinos?
I ain't paying.
Write a nice letter to father Xmas, say our prayers every night, don't cheek your mummy and Santa may bring you one!!! :)
I can tell you for certain I won't be getting you that for Crimbo, no matter how well behaved you are!
Santa
Without wishing to sound negative you're going to run into issues here unless the bikes are BS standard. The insurance companies don't like non standard kit and if you go sticking single brakes on them etc then they loose certification.
While not as good to play on cheap budget bikes with a BS stamp on them will be a lot less grief overall. [/remembers insurance nightmares from bike hire days]
^ Yep - they need to be off the peg for the above reason and that they will be 'owned' by PH. MHBP are merely proposing a sane and appropriate choice of bike for 12-14 year olds.
Would something like this http://www.rutlandcycling.com/42253/Haro-124-2012---BMX-Bike.html?referr...
be an option for the smaller riders? Also fun to piss around on after hours.
