10:00 until 20:00
The Polo Direct Arena, Napier Street, Shieldfield.
Watch the greatest bike polo teams in the entire world of Newcastle, Scotland and Northern England compete for ultimate glory in the only event of this year's Olympics to be held after the closing ceremony.
All teams are welcome to try and follow the achievements of previous gold medallists from Team Sensible (Edinburgh) and Smoking Nuns (Newcastle), all of whom are now household names.
If MCR ain't going, then I'd like to propose a Saturday of polo in Hebden Bridge followed by the Now Wave DJs night in the evening... #justputtinitoutthere
+ thanks to Ben for helping Canny Little Spies win the 007 Alleycat on Friday, and Salman was awarded Most Improved Player by the local spectators who remember his early days of impersonating small long-haired people from Jesmond.
It ends with a "zombie disco, complete with bar where you can buy drinks". I hope all zombie apocalypse end this way.
These flapping nutters were outside my flat the last couple of nights. Took me a while to make the connection. I wouldn't mind if they kept the noise down.
Actually I still would, because they're fully grown adults acting like idiots.
is this still happening?
Yeah I was thinking this too, I don't do facebook so not sure whats going on there?

Hebden Bridge is more convenient than Newcastle. I also have a 4 man tent that still hasn't been used since I bought it for Brighton...

Just lost 1-0 to sweethearts in the final. Ben subbed in for the losers bracket and won that.
Always the bridesmaid, never the bride.
Thanks to everyone for coming to the tournament. Best day of polo I've ever had - great matches, friends, food, music and sunshine!
Excited to have so many new players in Newcastle so we can get regular matches again...and such a big young supporters' club!
