Another wrist update

Just to let you know, my wrist seems pretty ok to me. No doctors seem to have any opinions of any kind on it so far, but they didn't seem to entertain the idea of operating on it for very long, so that's a plus. I've been cycling to work for the past week so for most intents and purposes I'm more or less back to normal. Cast comes off in a couple of weeks.

I'd really like to learn to play again eventually; I'll try and land on my head in the future rather than my arm. And next time I'll tell my asshole employers that I fell while cycling home from work so they might feel a bit more inclined to pay me while I'm gone.

Whose wrist brace do I have, by the way?

Glad you're not going under the knife and are back on the bike!

Pretty sure it was Ben who had the wrist wrap thing :)

Thanks! Will pop round when he's playing next and drop off.

They didn't pay you? That's shitty, it shouldn't matter how you did something. What if you got hit in the eye playing frisbee or twisted an ankle playing football? Or a dart to the shin?

Paper cut playing cards?

Apparently there is a clause in my contract that says I won't be paid for time off injured if injured while playing recreational sports. Dicks. It hadn't occurred to me to lie about what I'd been doing, but in the future I'll be sure to go into work the next day and fall down the stairs if I have to :P I mean, aside from falling down stairs (as I've done before) how the hell else do people injure themselves if not playing recreational sports?? Don't answer that question...

Alcohol.

Some people just don't give crashing enough effort! [/Still receiving physio]

Oh dear! Clearly you know how to do it. I put a lot of effort into my last few breaks, so I can be forgiven for this one I think ;)Of course, I could probably manage to break myself in my sleep. I fall like an idiot.

Obviously I now need to re-tell the story of how my girlfriend crawled out of the end of the bed in her sleep before getting back in, still asleep. She wondered why she hurt in the morning, turned out she had broken her collar bone.

I've heard of animals chewing their own leg off in order to escape a trap. I guess it's just a natural evolution, she clearly thought she was somehow trapped by a hedgehog.

Hedgehogs are known for their master trap laying skills.
