Anyone got a V brake noodle they want to swap for a beer?

kinda related - reason for noodle is so I can run two cables to the front V, one from the dual lever for polo and one from standard lever for riding about town. This is pretty neat coz I'm pretty sure I can just clamp them both in and swap over which is in use at any time.

If I get a disk and put the On-One fork on it I will need to devise a similar easy-swap system. Has anyone ever done this before? I can only think of one quick to use solution; it ain't pretty and involves an item that probably doesn't exist! :-

basically it would need a brake cable Y-split adaptor (the bit that probably hasn't been machined yet) to run both through the brake mech and to disable/engage either lever I imagine I'd have to set it to bite only when the barrel adjuster is fully wound out, winding the other one in so I don't do endos with the kid on the back or if the normal lever catches something when playing polo!!!

Any thoughts???

2 bikes?

Or what about running one of the cable splitters you get on BMX's with giros, but backwards somehow? Although both would be in use at the same time, which might not be what your after.

What's wrong with dual lever for every day? Just shift the power back/forward depending on how much the kids like big skids...

Not complicated enough. Durr.

Rob - less bikes, not more, I'm gonna stick sus forks on it, change it to fixed gear and bang drops on it: polo; road; hipster; kiddie kart; MTB - all in one :)

An idea?

Use the cable QR off a front dual-pivot caliper in place of the cable-pin/rod on your lever end so you can switch on and off your front brake from your dual lever.

That's pretty tasty, thanks! Definitely introduces the net' safety factor.

Still leaves connecting two cables to one space. I take it the FabLab could machine a Y split for me? Else it's trawling back-arse tiny hardware shops for random tat :-)

Problem solvers make a cable doubler in 2 flavors. 1 like used in polo to operate two brakes with one lever. 2 allows you to operate one brake from two levers.2 Used with the polo lever and a quick release at the polo lever I think would be the neatest way. Although you could just unwind the adjuster on the polo lever for normal use and on the normal lever for polo use.
