IMPORTANT NEW PROCEDURES - commitment to practice sessions

Hey guys,
Powerhouse have tightened up on the way we book the court.
From now on there is a form that must be sent over during office times the day BEFORE the session.
This means its really important that people put them selves on the list earlier rather than later.

I know from the days of playing squash/badminton etc we had to book the court at least a week before hand so a day or 2 before is reasonable, We have been spoiled up to now being able to just turn up and play.

Another point is payment. We will have to do another round of subs soon, it should initially be £20 per person and that should last for 4-6 weeks if we do 2 sessions per week.

I don't expect new people/beginners to have to solidly commit or pay towards the court at this time.

Can we have a list of people who will try to put their name down at least the day before sessions and who are happy to pay another round of subs in the near future?

Happy to pay subs of course but prefer we commit to one open night per week. As you know, I'm proposing we have these winter minileagues which to all intents and purposes will give the more committed an extra night of polo.

Not convinced we should commit to two sessions per week during the winter. Firstly we don't have a big enough player pool and secondly, the weather will hit some nights. What is the scenario as far as PH see it with cancelled nights - could we get a postponement agreement whereby a clearly unplayable night is reported and we get another session free?

Lastly, are they are aware that the fourth light is out and are they planning to fix it (alongside these new professional processes - health and safety etc.)??

I think the main thing for now is getting names down early so that even if we have one night per week it's booked and we get lights. I'd suggest that every Friday we start threads for Tuesday and Thursday and people get into a habit of putting names down by the weekend and saying if they definitely can't make it too, then we have an idea of whether one night would be best or if there is enough interest for two that week, obviously taking into account league nights, then we can adjust for weather when we know what it's going to do. I'm going to try and set up a meeting about the new booking procedure and will mention the light and hopefully avoid this seemingly unnecessary burocracy, or if we have to stick with it then try and get a money back for weather policy in place.

It is likely we will not be able to book Tuesdays for the next few months.

Devon spoke to us last night and said that a Youth football thing had started and would be using the court Tuesdays until 9pm; They're about as disorganised as us with getting names down, but we might have to just commit to Thursdays only.

We asked that he arrange for the goals to be removed from the court before their sessions and put safely inside afterwards, due to the damage caused by the last football group.

Nice one guy's thanks for showing your support and for everyone getting their names down nice and early for sessions
We are coming to the end of our subs fund and there will have to be a collection of £20 per player soon, sorry about that but good news is that should last us a few months and we've had it pretty easy in the past.
We will arrange a meeting about the lights going off early and the one broken light before we need to take any money
Cheers
