It's just the rims i want, they must be a rebranded something else.

You'll find the on one hubs are rebadged novatec/joytech hubs http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=290777937666&index=15&n... . You could probably build a better wheelset for what on one want for theirs.

^^ah just rims!

Yup, the hubs are pretty good but the same as others. They're rims are probably something else too, but I know not what.

They will most likely be DP18's

snottyotter

Scott reckoned they were lighter.

You sir obviously care not for lightness.

(you can take that as a fat joke or a dig at your bike)

Ow, they're for my hipster bike. 700c polo is for nobs.

If you're doing a hipster bike you need much much deeper rims not things that look like (and probably are) DP18's

Crabon

Cheap hipster, can't afford more that 30mm, might go for halo aerorage, which are 25mm.

Rincewind

they're made by kinlin, XR-300s. Halo aerotrack are similar, they're 27mm deep and 445g. similar price as DP18s aswell.

Rincewind

I have a pair of new aerorages both 24h though. Aerotrack is lighter n deeper.

Non-machined though. I did find out they were kinlin and looked at buying direct but they seemed a hell of a lot more expensive for some reason, apparently good rims though.

I also need to figure out cranks. Was thinking sram couriers with the gxp BB and maybe get a fat chainring, or just get some messengers, both about the same price. Also need crabon forks and other black bits, all the black bits.

Rincewind

they are machined. just painted or anodized over. if you want anodized they brake just fine, just colour comes off ofc.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brand-New-Track-Single-Speed-Chainset-Bottom-B...

far supirior to sugino RD2s, since they're not just over priced road cranks with a single ring on. I bet that quest logo will come off with a bit of rubbing alcohol aswell. branded by others such as andel and pro-lite aswell

Drew

Get the on one external ones and go to the effort of removing the logo. Sorted

Black Drew, I'm not going back.

Anodised is fine if they're machined.

Omnomnoms are a bit too much.

Has anyone got/know someone with the XL Pomino/amine? My Mate is interested but is 6'5" and not sure if it might be a bit cramped for him... Would be nice to get a test ride around the block.

I know of plenty of large ones by no xl. The on one showrooms not far out of Sheffield, the closet rail station is meadowhall. it might be worth asking if they've an xl one built up to test ride.
