If you mean that place you got the food colouring laden chicken thing from the other week then you're not trying hard enough. There are much better to be had.

Tai Pan on Upper Brook St. Midweek lunchtimes the 'Business Lunch' menu is reasonable and if you drink Green Tea instead of booze or soft drinks you can get away with £10 a head. Also has good bike racks and a decent supermarket on the ground floor for all your noodle needs.

Greenhouse Vegetarian / Vegan in Rusholme. The guy that runs it is a nut job, the building looks like it's about to collapse but the food is great.

Fuck it, I'm going there now.

Back to topic, take aways:

  • Falafel on the Curry Mile. They make good falafel and shawarma wraps, just make sure to tell them what you want in it.
  • Safad on Bloom St. makes very good falafel. Don't try their shawarma.
  • The Korean place behind sandbar. I think it's called Eat Goody or something along these lines.

Raj in Fallowfield used to do an awesome cheesy chip naan, not been for a few years though. Mama Mia did great calzone (if you didn't mind the guy being a bit pervy) think that's been taken over.

Ning do take out, really like their deep fried beansprout things (Cucur Udang?) and the tofu lime curry but they're a bit pricy.

In the NQ, This and that is supposed to be good (lunchtime only though). Hunters and the place opposite Marble on Thomas st is supposed to be good as well.

The chippy next to Cask seemed okay the other week. Cask are cool with you bringing chips and things in as well as long as you take your rubbish out.

And let's not forget poppalinos!

I used to fucking love the cheesy chip naans from raj, had at least 2 a week when I lived there. I had one a few weeks back after polo for the 1st time in years, it was amazing, I nearly finished it.

Any recommendations within easy walk of Old Trafford cricket ground? Start the new job tomorrow and need to find a decent supply of coffee to keep the afternoon naps at bay.

Yeah, but you've still got to love a company that does a veggie meal where the fries were covered in beef extracts and the burgers cooked on the same grill as the meat.

salman

Cow testicles are beef too!

as is the skin they pressure wash off, also, technically all the "reclaimed" stuff that is stripped out the bones and smooshed up is beef.

I eat Mcdonalds about once a year if that so im not their biggest customer but it annoys me when you veggie preachers make things up about connective tissue etc its all bollox, also cows eyes are more expensive than actual beef so there would be no advantage to using them in the burger

"the USDA mandates that all beef by-products, including cow eyeballs, be appropriately labeled. McDonald's, has asserted that its products contain "100% pure USDA inspected beef; no additives, no fillers, no extenders."

repent! bow down & repent! Your wicked ways must cease for there is only one true way forward, repent, and listen to your soul, can you hear it? I can hear it brother & sisters, I can hear it and it says mooooo.
