Polo Venues

Sylwia just showed me a pretty nice bit of space near Piccadilly station, over here: http://goo.gl/maps/IxIz The imagery is out of date, that roof no longer exists.

The surface is pretty smooth, just needs a bit of sweeping. It's obviously not better than powerhouse but makes a good spot for hitting a ball about near town. I took a few pictures: https://plus.google.com/photos/108114234900859771531/albums/575549415961...

I'm not really sure it's a proper carpark, but there's plenty of space and only a few cars. The only downside is the worrying number of discarded condoms about... :-/

That'll be because it's a red light area, sounds good.

Drew and I recce'd that space earlier in the year - we thought as you - the odd ghetto/party polo session would be fine but not PH or tourney quality. We're spoilt at PH these days (surface wise)...

I guess people have seen most of these before, there's a bunch of other outdoor netball courses listed here http://www.simplenetball.co.uk/league-venues/

Not sure how easy they would be to book/use, but it might come in handy for bigger tournaments or something.

What are you doing sniffing around ladies netball sites...?

I got jealous of the Germans after seeing this:
