RULE ANNOUNCEMENT!!

In light of Crandal ripping his leg open down to the bone in the NAs this weekend a new rule is to be included in the Nah ruleset that will be strongly enforced during the london open.

NO EXPOSED COGS

That means no cogs that arent covered by the chain (freewheel or fixed cogs on you non-drive side or on a freehub and also covers cassettes...single speed that shit!). Sorry folks but your commuter gear has to go! Crandall was lucky not to tear an artery and i think we know what that means...

We understand this is short notice but go to your local bike shop and sort it out. If you have already arrived ask your host/loacl london player for help. We all have to have each others backs!

Cheers

Nik

Anyway....

So a lot of teams have emailed and messaged us in the last few days, saying they can't make Friday. We've currently only got 11 teams who can, so we are going to change the format.

Friday morning will be the court build, the more people are there (we are starting early in the morning), the quicker we can get them built, and start pickup.

Friday afternoon will be a bench tournament (number of teams/size of teams/format/how teams are picked will be confirmed later). This will be from 15:00 - 19:00. An online registration will be announced shortly, and there will also be on day registration, up to 14:00, at the courts.

Saturday there will be two groups, AM (9:00), PM (12:00), playing 4 rounds. The top 12 from each group will go through.

Saturday evening, from 16:00 will be another group for everyone not yet qualified, so currently 30 teams, who will play another 2 rounds to fight for the last 8 spots.

Sunday will be 32 team elim.

Everyone will get at least 6 games over the weekend, and for everyone in the top 32, likely quite a few more.

I agree with the new cog rule as I encountered the same problem this weekend!!

Chris mentioned I could crash on your floor space Sunday eve as I share the same train, is this cool with you guys??

Well done MCR - can't remember the last time we had so many players/teams at a big tournament! Everywhere I went I saw Manchester... Big up to Nude Erection, MCR's No. 1 - keep it stiffer longer this time! ;-)

Whoo! It was sweet having so many of us, and everyone getting some wins and looking good, just not as good as us.
