T'is almost time to journey down yonder M4 and watch some polo and drink some beers.
As far as I know it's the following going in a hire car/van.

Salford is probably the cheapest place to rent from with their weekend deals, we can get a biggish car and use a rack for £102 so £20.40 each. Or is we want more room we can get a 7 or 9 seater, or even better a 6 seater transit for £180, so £36 each or less if someone else joins us and probably room for everything inside.
One problem with Salford is that you need to have a Manchester address to hire from them, Chris can drive but he'll have to be added on as a second driver, which seems to be free, I'm happy to be the 1st driver and will even drive down there, but want to be crunk on Sunday so won't drive back, we'll need a £400 deposit which I don't have. Chris will need both parts of his licence and 2 recent utility bills. The weekend deal means picking up at 1600 on the Friday which is a little late but works out cheaper and has to be dropped off by 1000 on Monday.

Yup, I reckon an astra or summit would do with the rack, finding estates seems a little tricky as it's always "this car or similar" I'll look into it tomorrow.

I think it'll be big enough with 3 bikes on the back, I had one for on holiday and they were quite roomy.
