Courts and shit.

One of the many Andy's reminded of this place the other night. 5 football courts in a line around the place, all those football/tennis courts in one big area, somewhat impressive. They let people play 5 a side and things so polo wouldn't be too different I'd of thought.

Found a new casual court near powerhouse, is a little short and has a rough spot right in the middle, so probably not great but it's quite quiet.

Think this is what that council guy was talking about last night: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=salvation+army+near+Ardwick&hl=en&ll=53...

Pretty much next to Sandbar...

We've viddied that before I think but just left it as there's nothing there better than powerhouse.

Or is there a secret indoor bit?

The indoor thing was at Ardwick Sports centre I think.

Fences look better.

But the outside isn't as good, grass is nice. I would assume less foot traffic for passers by to see playing. I also don't know how the salvation army feel about drinking round them.

I agree, grass is nice.

Not that kind of grass, Ben. This isn't Hebden Bridge. :-p

The goals in that court look permanent.

I found a nice isolated court all on it's own:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=94F&rls=org.mozi...

I'll bob over this week and take a look at the surface, it's fenced with the recessed style goals. There is also a court just near it in Gorse Hill Park, the surface looks good and again it's the recessed goal type.

The one in that link is generally surrounded by cunts from out of town.

Only ever been there at lunchtimes, same with the one in Gorse Bank. I can't imagine it would be that well known to anybody, it really is tucked away with only one entrance which really should deter the scrotes as they tend to be smart enough to know they need at least a couple of exits when dodging dibble.

Have you checked where that link actually goes?

You might have a point now you mention it. I could also see that surface leading to a move away from wrists to the more fashionable metatarsal fracture.

This is what I actually meant to link to:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Talbot+Rd%2FA5014&daddr=53.45373,-2....

Court at point A in Gorse Bank Park, surface similar to PH. Court at point B in a clearing, absolutely nothing else there at all. Not had a proper look at it yet. Both are 2 minutes ride from the middle of Chorlton.
