Fixcraft order
I wouldn't mind one of there fixing bolt things to have a play with.
you want the retro fit or the one for fixcraft threaded shaft?
When I build some new mallets I'm going to just try flareing out the fixing end or sutin. It doesn't look particularly complex to knock something up similar.
Le retro fit.
im doing a small magic order if anyone wants in, sylwia what are you getting from fixcraft out of interest?
http://mhbp.co.uk/topic/magic-order
im getting the fixing bolt but for the fixcraft shaft, i got t shaft and head at euros wanna try it out as its that ultra light stuff. ill let you know in t eve regarding t magic order. thanks
I could do with a 700C HDPE wheel cover please
Andy has some Correx I can have so don't need the cover after all. Thanks anyway!
have you ordered already Sylwia? I needs a new shaft and fixing nut and bolt.
I'm ordering cleats for Sylwia and Rob from Magic instead now. If you want in on that order, let me know what you want and I can add you to that...
Ooh! I thought you had already put your order in. Can I have a 1mm shaft, gripped (green grip if you can choose), crowned, nut inserted and cut to length (what do you think, 120 cm?)
Got carried away watching tv. Will do it tonight.
Chan, could you bring me back a fixcraft ultalite pole from your american travels please? Ideally red but will be happy with any colour really. xxx
Lol, if you have luggage space you could probably get quite a few orders in, but you might have to tell customs they're commercial samples if they stop you. To be fair, we have no idea what they're like, so they would really be samples!
why would it matter if they're commercial samples or not? They're gonna check all you're luggage and make you pay VAT on anything you bought?
Importing commercial samples of negligible value free of duty and VAT
I would expect such a sample to carry manufacturing item codes rather than finished branding, and we would be intending to perform destructive testing of Fixcraft products, comparing with other available products, with a view to approving future trade.
Just whack them with your mallets, they're spares you didn't need, boom, job done.
I'm gonna be getting some fixcraft stuff sent over for xmas as my mallets are fucked. Anybody want owt? I'll see if it saves on shipping.
If it's shafts then it'll need to be a quite a few as more 1 than the 3 I'm ordering leave you with only the more expensive shipping. There is room for 4 more heads on the cheaper shipping too, not checked on other stuff.
I'd take some heads but I'm hoping that Brum's new poles are good.
Brums new poles?
Ordering tonight or tomorrow, let me know asap if you want stuff.
y u no magic?
Shafts are all bendy/breaky. Heads are good but I want some fixcraft shafts and may as well try out the heads too. Good work for your sponsors though.
Lol.
I remember when Chan was rocking Fixcraft Ultralite 2375 on Milwaukee Green last winter.
Then Milk.
they're all pretty much the same, shafts bend and break due to bad technique IMO
^ And playing with serial hackers...
^ not an engineer.
The heads are sweet but I've seen enough shafts bend and break after very little use to put me off, the newest hija ones ain't been great either and some of the NS have split a bit too easily. The fixcraft have a skinnier profile at the end which I like and are threaded and notched at the end for the connect thing, plus they work out at roughly the same price and are in sweet colours. I ain't sponsored or unpoor enough to go through shafts regularly so need them to last.
The NS "splitty" shafts were apparently the last batch of the painted version. Current ones are anodised, and I haven't heard any similar complaints about those.
