Hi!

Hi guys, it's Taba (or Turbo) from last night. Was just signing up to say thanks for a good time and thanks to people who lent me bikes and mallets. Will definitely be down again in the near future, if only to recoup some of the beers I am owed! My stupid brain is already trying work out how to build a bike up with random bits and pieces from under the stairs... I reckon with some widish 26 clamp flat bars, a freewheel with many teeth and a few other bits I might be close.

I'll definitely stick around and see if I keep enjoying it. It would be great to loan a bike for a bit too, thanks. Looking at bits I have got already I really am pretty close to being able to build something up, think I am just short of a freewheel, bars+grips and 27.2 seatpost. Reckon I need a 22t freewheel as the chainset I am going to use is 39t. Does that sound about right?

Yeh that's fine, Emyr runs on 38/22

I haz a seat post you can have. 22t freewheels are hard to find cheap. You'll find loads of 17/18t ones cheap. Probably easier to use a smaller chainring up front. I'll bring the seat post on Sunday for someone to pass on if you're not around.

Yeah great seatpost would be appreciated, I'll get you a pint for it or something. I reckon that 39t is the smallest ring these cranks are gonna take. I won't be around sunday. Apparently Edinburgh co-op do a 22t you can order in, its on their website anyway and only 12 quid.

Check your chain line if you go for a granny ring option, you need 42-46mm for a 120mm axle (depends on your sprocket and hub), MTB single speeds (135mm axle) usually have chainlines about 52mm.

Check eBay, I got a 22t deda for the boy's bike for about a tenner inc postage
