Strong 700c rims

The polo wheel thread on LFGSS is too long and contradictory. Thought about Sputniks but I'm going to go for something a bit deeper this time around, 36h. Does anyone have any recommendations?

velocity deep v or chuckers, great rims - been playing on velocity rims for 3 years now and never had a wheel pringle

i would say deep Vs, chuckers possibly overkill, also Rigida/weinmann dp18 very strong and cheaper than velocity

Is it the dp18 you were talking about at SHITE? Had it for a few years, missing spokes, still fine?

Really cheap for a pair of strong rims. He has other colours.

Airline 1s are wider ackshulli.

Chuckers if you're using more than 32c though.

I'm using sputniks. Can't big them up enough. A little heavy and nothing special to look at, but bombproof with a massive breaking surface and about £20 a rim. At least 4 of the Sheffield guys are using them and I havent heard of one failing.

Dp18s are 13mm internal, non eyeletted weighing 590g. Very strong. 32/36h
Sputniks are 19mm int, double eyeletted weighing 745g. Very strong and stable heavy duty. 32/36/40/48h.

As I said in the original Sputniks are out this time around, want to try something deep-section, partly for the shorter spoke length, partly because it looks cooler :p

Mavic XC717Disc are strong, 395g, eyeleted, welded joint, mid-depth...

And 26", disc only. You know you want to.

Buy me a joust and I'll go 26"

Joust doesn't have disc mounts.

those vueltas are probably DP18s, or pretty much the same thing.

Polish joust copy, with slight adjustment to fit a disc fork.
