It's a big outdoor pursuits festival. http://www.cliff-hanger.co.uk/
Hopefully we'll have two courts, run some sort of tourney, and have some try out sessions for members of the public.
I think it could work in a similar way to Farnborough, with a few spots for London, still based on geography rather than ability or there would be a couple of run away winners.
I meant the qualifying aspect wouldn't really work, you'd need a national series or to run some qualifiers for different regions to get more accurate rankings.
Even then we don't really have enough clubs in the UK to make the ranking necessary... what are the chances of getting 12 different scenes (or even 4x 'compass' London teams and 8 not-London scenes) together for a bench tournament in the UK. There's only 14 scenes represented at the champs (including Newmarket, Cornwall, Hebden, Dublin...)
Maybe there needs to be an open organised, 1 month registration open and then organise a tourny based around all the entrys more of a one off 3-4 dayer to collate scene data and have loads of fun...
Also clashes with the god damn Euros.
Fucking Alaskans.
June 21/22, SoYo Polo have been invited back to Cliffhanger. Not sure what the format's likely to be yet, but pencil it in to your diaries...
Don't want to miss it this time, it seemed like everyone had a good time before.
What is it?
Just seen this too... Croatia on the 17/18th May: https://leagueofbikepolo.com/ii-zagreb-international-bike-polo-tournament
Looks like it might be another trip to Bristol for the Euro Qualis: http://www.lfgss.com/thread119182.html#post4117860

Looks good, would be up for heading over to that!
Not much info yet but Berlin International 1-3rd August https://leagueofbikepolo.com/berlin-polo-international
4 courts!!
Ooh!
Pretty much the veggie capital of Europe too. Vegan kebabs for all!
I'm not even going to start on the beer, relaxed street drinking, culture and reliable public transport....
just don't mention the war.
There's another German tournament coming up too, this one's over the Easter weekend (18/20th April) http://www.lfgss.com/post4128195-2738.html
There's also supposed to be a tournament in Nantes that same weekend but I don't have any info, video from last year: http://vimeo.com/65459443
Definitely in on this.... Berlin rocks!
I'm up for berlin
Sweet!!
Update on Newmarket Tumnament... http://www.lfgss.com/post4130824-35.html
Appears Cambridge are organising something that weekend
I think Cambridge is the weekend before or after, good news is Tum might be able to make his own Tumnament now.
Interesting format, don't think the format would ever work in the UK, but it might be interesting to see if something like the Euro Bench could be run this way http://www.nahardcourt.com/nah-club-bench-championship/

For comparison, NA has about 200 clubs/1000 competitive players in NA series....

Maybe 2 in a row... https://leagueofbikepolo.com/forum/tournaments/2013/09/23/whbpc-2014-bid...
Sorry, I thought you meant tournament, qualification would be unnecessary.
Brussels look like they've got a good set up: http://antwerpbikepolo.be/new-polo-court-bxl/
Will keep an eye out for any tournaments coming up there.
The Euro's are moving! https://leagueofbikepolo.com/forum/tournaments/2013/11/05/ehbpc-2014#com...
Sounds like much better options for courts and not a problem if anyone has already booked flights by the looks of things.
Westway tournament in June, not open to non LHBPA members yet though http://www.lfgss.com/thread124745.html
