Blog for "inner circle" is definitely possible, it's a standard Drupal Module. Don't need more discussion, just show me some content, because an empty blog feed screams "Fail".
As for not changing the template, you were fiddling with the design, rather than suggesting an actual functional change. If you were suggesting a drastic redesign, I might be MORE interested because the user would spot the difference without needing a side-by-side. Is this design broke?

to be totally honest the problem is the finished site dosnt look like the original design, I was 'fiddling' with it to find a happy medium so you wouldn't have to do too much work. (edited post as it came across rude but im frustrated!)

There is already a Google Calendar maintained by someone in LHBPA. If we cant a calendar I should be able to create a view of our own google calendar with the LHBPA one linked.
That's a bit dickish. He just wants the site to look nice. Is there a way to give Ste an offline copy of the site, which he can do some modifications to, which can be submitted back to you for a check over and then uploaded. I'd guess forum wise we'll use microco.sm when finished but the main site could be a bit better looking.
In the last month, only 27 of our website members have visited.
Of those, only half have been to throwins more than once in the same period of time.
Unless there is a renewed surge of polo enthusiasm in Manchester, there's no point changing this site. There is a tourney in Manchester in less than two weeks. The first NS tourney of the season is 6 weeks away. Why is the busiest thread about a person who doesn't turn up taking everyone mountainbiking?
I'll add a blog feature if you can show me some written-up pieces you'd want to publish. There's nothing worse than an ancient "under construction" page and if it's not about polo, it's not getting published here.
